Las Arenas is a nine-bedroom “ante bellum” house inside the Puntacana Resort & Golf Club in the province of La Altagracia on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. It is only a few minutes drive from the Punta Cana International Airport, which has over 40 flights arriving each day from all over the world.
The 1,200 square meter home was built in 2009 and is set on a 6,000 square meter plot. The house is comprised of three buildings: the central building, the guesthouse and the staff building. The central building has a large, airy, living room, an open formal dining room, a luxurious master suite with bath and cable television, and a fully stocked library with computer, cable and projection television and bar. On the ground floor of the central building there are four king sized bedrooms with baths, the central dining room and bar, and internal and external terraces with views of the pool, the gardens, and the ocean beyond.
Upon entering the courtyard of Las Arenas on the left there is a guesthouse with four bedrooms, two of which have twin beds and one has a crib. All have their own baths and balconies or terraces. On the right side of the courtyard, there is a kitchen, a laundry room and the staff quarters. The car park is behind the staff quarters. All bedrooms are equipped with fans and air-conditioning as well as Wi-Fi Internet connections. The Villa staff is composed of five people: the cook, the housekeeper, a waitress, the chauffeur, and a gardener. Concierge service is at your disposal. There are three golf carts for your use as well as a chauffeur driven car.
Just a short golf cart ride away, there are four championship golf courses designed by Tom Fazio and P.B. Dye. If you are a tennis lover, six beautifully maintained tennis courts are available at the Resort. A two-minute walk will lead you to five kilometers of white sandy beaches and a crystal clear ocean. At the end of the beach, by the La Choza Restaurant, you will find the watersports center, which offers activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, and deep sea fishing excursions. If you continue down the beach, Punta Cana resort maintains the Ecological Foundation Reserve, which has 1,500 acres of nature and fresh water lagoons. The Reserve also boasts a small zoo populated with animals natural to the Dominican and an organic farm. If you travel down the beach in the opposite direction, toward Playa Blanca Beach, there is a Kite and Surf School, widely used by kite sailing lovers during the winter season, when the wind blows strongly southbound.
The Six Senses Spa is a highlight of a stay at Las Arenas. A short walk from the Villa is an award winning spa best known for their Thai, Vietnamese, and Shiatsu massages. The Spa also offers beauty and pampering treatments as well as classes in yoga, Pilates and meditation.
Meals are prepared at Las Arenas to your unique specifications. Our concierge will work closely with you upon your arrival to discover which meals and food best suit you and your guests. There are also eight restaurants within the resort to satisfy a wide variety of appetites, including “La Yola”, “Bamboo” located at the Tortuga Bay Hotel, “Playa Blanca Restaurant”, “The Grill”, “La Cana”, “Franco’s Trattoria”, “La Choza”, and Coccoloba”. There are more dining options right outside of the resort in the Punta Cana Village. There you can find Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, Dominican, American, and international cuisine.
